I currently have a couple of long term personal projects underway. Many of my friends and associates have expressed an interest in staying abreast of how they are developing. In general if find managing my website quite tedious and time consuming and only get around to making major updates once a year or so.

To get around this I have set up a series of blogs to make the updating process easier. The blogs are meant to be an addendum to the main Ijo Arts site (now seriously overdue for an update) and will have a distinctly casual tone. As I mentioned there are two projects, one is fairly experimental and the other is a retrospective of sorts. The retrospective, RECKONING, is a photo blog in the strictest sense and is now live.

Planned blog projects include Reckoning Redux, RECKONING: Freaknik and Series One, a video blog.

There are several ways to stay abreast of new Ijo Arts blog developments:

•Check the news section at Ijo Arts.com

•Subscribe to individual blogs as they go live

•Join the Ijo Arts Mailing list for email updates

LIVE BLOGS:

RECKONING: Fifteen Years of Photography by Inye Wokoma
A photo blog charting fifteen years of personal and professional photography by Inye Wokoma. Be sure to read the 'About' section for a description of the project.

COMING SOON:

Reckoning Redux
This blog will feature short essays on the background and personal insights about select images posted on the main RECKONING blog.

RECKONING: Freaknik
As a subset of RECKONING, this blog in specifically for a body of images of the annual black college spring break street party that I took between 1993 and 1998. Because of the nature of many of the images I have decided to create a blog specifically for this series as I determine the best way to treat the series.

Series One:
A blog for experimental video projects I have been working on.
